Darcie's personal mission is to connect people to nature and contribute to the protection of wild places. As a travel planner, she strives to utilize travel to contribute to economic development, sustainability, and poverty alleviation. As an artist, she strives to depict the visceral connection from experiences in nature and to encourage others to seek out and commemorate their own memories. Darcie has traveled across the South Pacific, Africa, Asia, and the Americas and has been a frequent traveler to Africa for over a decade, developing a deep passion for the wildlife, the culture and the richness of the safari experience. As co-owner of Great Expeditions Travel, Darcie specializes in customizing nature-based travel to the individual needs of our clients. She is dedicated to developing unique itineraries that feature the best quality experiences.Beyond planning Darcie has served as a naturalist guide and tour leader for over a decade, leading safaris to Africa and India, as well as tours to over 20 destinations across North America focusing on the major wildlife hotspots, such as Yellowstone, Rocky Mountain, and Glacier National Parks. When guiding Darcie provides the same personalized attention and consideration for each participant. After guiding over 50 group tours, Darcie maintains an enthusiasm for sharing the magic with fellow travelers and wildlife enthusiasts. Then she brings the experiences back into her travel planning as well as her art.
