My responsibilities extended to include taking ownership of team projects, mentoring junior engineers, scoping and prioritising tasks, communicating with stakeholders at different levels, and reporting to our manager on team status and progress.

As a software & telecommunication engineer, I focused on developing software solutions to meet requirements involving systems and protocols for 3GPP, IETF and ITU compliant communication networks. I was responsible for researching, designing, implementing and supporting numerous technical solutions. Typical projects spanned from a theoretical concept and proceeded with working hands-on on each step of the process through to deployment, and supporting the solution thereafter.

I completed 2 years of research and obtained the degree MEng Cum Laude (Electrical & Electronic). I set, facilitated and monitored the tutorials of the 2nd and 3rd year engineering course, Computer Systems 214. This involved preparation of question papers, answer papers, designing a minor course project and regularly corresponding with students: answering questions relating both to the administration of the tutorials as well as the technical content of the module.
