I started my consulting business with a passion for helping business owners establish more efficient HR processes, while relieving some of the unnecessary burden of non-compliance. My goal is to teach owners and managers to be more proactive in their employment practices and mitigate litigation risk. As an HR Consultant, I advise business owners and managers on employment law compliance and employee relations issues. I cover a variety of compliance issues such as drafting handbook policies (multi-state), understanding wage and hour laws, conducting I-9/HR audits, navigating leaves of absence and disability accommodations, disciplinary counseling and performance management, assisting with terminations, and setting up onboarding and HRIS systems. I conduct live (in-person or virtual) management and leadership training, as well as harassment prevention training (AB 1825 and SB 1343).I work with small to mid-sized companies across all industries including preschools, private colleges, private healthcare practices, retail establishments, restaurants, construction and design companies, IT businesses, law firms, non-profits, and the cannabis industry. I often speak at professional conferences and training seminars, as well as conduct online webinars. My office is located in downtown Pleasanton and I'm a member of the Pleasanton Chamber and the Pleasanton Downtown Association. I was also the Director of Membership for the Bay Area chapter of SHRM NorCal in 2018-2020.I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications and Media Studies from the University of San Diego and I'm certified as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR). I spend much of my free time volunteering and raising money for local non-profits as the Community Service Chair of Pleasanton North Rotary, and the board Secretary at Goodness Village in Livermore.
