My name is Darcy, I am delighted to introduce myself as an Character Technical Artist currently open for work! My Experience includes Anachronaut Productions as a Lead Technical Animator, and A Technical Character Artist at Possibility Space. I am an alumnus of the Savannah College of Art and Design [SCAD], where I obtained a Bachelors of Fine Art with a degree in 3D animation, a concentration in Rigging, and a minor in Interactive Game Design and Development. Furthering my academic background, I have also taken courses in Game Design, Python, and Java Script at Harvard.My passion for rigging lies in the meticulous mechanics and systematic approach it demands. The creative process of weight painting puts me in a state of flow, making rigging the perfect amalgamation of artistry, technical skills, and problem-solving. My inclination towards unique and challenging projects allows me to push the limits and explore new ways of bringing animated characters to life. As an artist, I enjoy tackling issues at their core and finding optimal solutions.I have recently been involved in several short films and video games utilizing my skills to create visually stunning, and dynamic , easy to use characters. Going forward, I am eager to expand my horizons and explore ways to implement my expertise.
