As a faculty member in the Department of Epidemiology, I lead mathematical modeling and clinical research studies, mentor students, and teach classes on modeling and epidemiologic research. My responsibilities include managing study teams and projects, analyzing and synthesizing quantitative data, developing mathematical models, writing grants, disseminating findings to stakeholders and to community and scientific audiences.

Adapted and applied a compartmental model of HIV and HPV transmission to inform cervical cancer prevention strategies in settings with high HIV prevalence; oversaw an economic evaluation of a cervical cancer screening intervention in Malawi

Designed and implemented health behavior surveys in collaboration with the Washington State Department of Health and Public Health--Seattle & King County; developed network-based and Markov models to evaluate HIV prevention interventions; analyzed and cleaned study data.

With the PRISM Health group at Emory University, I developed and analyzed qualitative and quantitative data related to sexual health. My responsibilities included survey development and analysis, qualitative interviewing, manuscript writing, participant recruitment and enrollment, and HIV prevention counseling.

Led a weekly lab session using Stata software to analyze DHS data for a course on sexual and reproductive health; graded assignments.

Prepared lessons and activities for a weekly section of 14 students. Managed the section to reinforce course concepts, taught Epi Info Statistical Software, administered and graded assignments.

Analyzed qualitative transcripts from focus group discussions addressing access to family planning services in Ethiopia and Kenya. Authored a manuscript and presented findings at international conferences.

With funding from the Global Health Institute at Emory University, I led a team of Emory graduate students in partnership with three organizations of Mexico's National Pro-Choice Alliance. Through literature review, in-depth interviews, and focus groups, we gathered information to inform and revise a strategic advocacy campaign, which we presented to the Alliance for future use. In my placement at The Population Council, I additionally conducted literature reviews, supported grant proposals, and reviewed grant and conference applications.

Provided support, education, and services to high-risk, pregnant, and parenting teens; Consulted patients individually and in groups on topics such as diabetes, nutrition, and weight management; Designed and implemented a formative evaluation project for the prevention of sexually transmitted infections in young adults; Volunteered with Planned Parenthood to call patients, update resources, conduct outreach, and create promotional videos.

Led a planning committee, coordinated with campus administration, recruited and organized volunteers and speakers, secured donations, oversaw the event.
