Provide training, human resources, communication, and administrative support for a paramilitary youth group in Vancouver, B.C. Principal duties include staff training, management and administrative functions.• Staff Management Responsibilitieso Lead training and development programs, as well as ongoing mentorship, for all personnel.o Monitor staff progression towards pre-established objectives.o Facilitate meetings with staff members in order to provide new information, safety, training, or other services as requested by upper management.o Enforce operational policies for all staff members as well as disciplinary action.• Administrative Responsibilitieso Achieve organizational financial objectives in the preparation of an annual budget.o Track expenditures, analyze variances, and initiate corrective actions to keep within budget.o Handle confidential files related to staff issues as well as operational activity.o Communicate and collaborate extensively with two other squadrons, sharing resources.• Key Achievementso Led the change in Squadron designation, legitimizing the connection with the Seaforth Highlanders of Canada.
