Worked with a small team as Lead Ruby Developer on our Discovr series of iPhone applications which combined have over 3.7 million downloads, achieved the ranking of Number 1 music app in over 50 countries and worked on something we were all truly passionate about - helping people discover new things to love.My primary responsibilities were server side architecture and implementation of the APIs for Discovr Movies and Discovr Music, Maintenance and development on features for Discovr Apps as well as full infrastructure automation.I worked in developing our flow and tooling to make pushing new code from development to production take the minimal amount of effort.

Volunteer web develop in my spare time working on custom applications, system administration and custom tooling alongside their amazing team of volunteers.In my time, I developed a range of custom applications, all released under fully Open Source licenses. In the process, I released tools used in our process such as Barista (A ruby gem with almost 190,000 downloads and for a period of time the preferred way of doing coffeescript in Rails).In this period, I developed the initial Big Help Mob platform (used to crowd source people for once-off volunteering periods), a custom internal job board as well as other tooling.
