Supervising this busy city centre restaurant and involved in the development of the bar; in particularly new beer lists, involving and visiting many of the superb local breweries on our doorstep, as well as developing a fresh and exciting cocktail list using sustainable herbs grown on site as well as home-made bitters and syrups. I am also involved in hosting many of our tasting events, especially our popular Gin o'clock, giving a two hour lecture on the production and history of gin as well as tasting a varied selection.In 2020 I was the additional responsibility for social media and associated photography for Blackfriars and their sister restaurant Dobson and Parnell. As well as having a busy career I am the father of five fantastic kids. I love good food & wine. I also am a keen swimmer, completing the Great North Swim in 2018. My hobbies include listening to music, photography, creative writing as well as researching food and drink.
