Art Club 123, is a non-profit organization which started as a visual arts program, established by Daren Chambers. As a visual artist, he wanted to provide young people with unique opportunities for arts education inspired by art and life. Daren Chambers supports the artistic and professional development of talented and aspiring artists.Art Club 123 is a content-rich visual arts curriculum in the classroom. All lessons are aligned with the NYC Blueprint for the Arts and National Education Association curriculum standards. As a role model to inspire children in grades K-12 to higher levels of academic, personal, and artistic achievement as they apply art lessons in the classroom. In addition, the Studio Project offers art workshops to support educators to inter-grade the curriculum into existing lesson plans.The Art Club 123, is a New York based non-profit organization that was established by Daren Chambers, in 2012 to support the creative development and education of talented aspiring artists.https://daren78.wixsite.com/artclub123Daren Chambers, was born in the Bronx, New York of African American and Puerto Rican parents. Legally blind in his left eye, he is the third generation artist from his family. Chambers knew he was an artist at six years old. Daren is fortunate to have his father and grandfather as mentors and inspiration. His grandfather, William Chambers, made his reputation as a painter of the Harlem Renaissance and studied at the Art Student League in New York City where he met and worked with lauded painter Joseph Dalaney. Joseph Daleney is the brother of Beauford Delaney, an American modernist painter. He is remembered for his work with the Harlem Renaissance in the 1930s and 1940s, as well as his later works in abstract expressionism following his move to Paris in the 1950s. Joseph Delaney was a black American artist who became a part of the New York art scene at the time of the Harlem Renaissance.William Chambers is among the first African American artists to exhibit at the newly established Studio Museum in Harlem, in late 1960's. After studying art throughout school, Chambers later connected and fell in love with painting. Chambers paintings explode with striking colors and texture that represent the rhythm, movement and energy. Chambers has exhibited throughout the tri-state area.
