The Microwave Radio group was growing fast and I was asked to join so that the group could take advantage of my strong technical skills and to help improve processes during the growth of the department.• Automated network element acceptance process to reduce the time required by an employee to complete the process from 1 hour to less than 20 minutes. This change also consolidated database information for network elements reducing work required by technicians to research equipment issues from 45 minutes to less than 10 minutes. Served as a cross organizational escalation manager watching major outage tickets and completing escalations when roadblocks to restoration occurred while also keeping executive leadership up to date on current status of these tickets. • Participated in The Innovation Pipeline, creating a system to use DirecTV Satellite system to deliver various content to DVR's in customer homes and CDN servers at other locations to load content that would then be served to Mobile Devices and other on demand devices. This same compute power would be used to aggregate data from IOT and other sources. This reduces dependency on back haul systems and increase the capacity that can be served by a site while also greatly reducing latency for Video, Audio, Virtual and Augmented Reality, Application Delivery, in addition to serving as a data aggregation point for Internet Of Things applications.
