After a long and successful tenure with Atico International, I joined the DSC Products team, quickly transitioning into a startup environment with a broad range of responsibilities. I took charge of new product development as well as market expansion into new product categories. Through meticulous planning and carefully weighing the best use of each budget dollar, the DSC Products Executive team and I have been able to move the business forward by opening new accounts, expanding our sourcing and design teams, and maneuvering resources to capitalize on bringing new products to market quickly.

In 2009 I was given responsibilities that encompassed not only continuing the trend of growing category sales that I started in a previous role, but also locating / growing future talent as well as spending time abroad working to further develop Atico International’s strategic sourcing partners. Leading a team of 14 professionals, we grew category sales and profitability at a steady rate of 5-10% per year between 2009 and 2013.

Following the steady sales growth as a Senior Product Development Manager, I was moved into a new role that focused on growing sales and profitability for categories including Housewares, Home Furnishings, and Home Textiles. My team and I moved to grow each category’s revenue by launching new product lines, reducing procurement costs, and improving quality controls.

I joined the Atico team in 2000 and was tasked with managing product development for a $60 million category that included Giftware and Home Accents. With a team of three dedicated professionals, we were able to steadily grow category sales by expanding into new product categories sourced throughout Europe and Asia, incorporate customer feedback, and breaking into new Fortune 500 retailers.
