Daria Efimova is a dispute resolution lawyer. With her roots as a Russian-qualified lawyer, Daria embarked on an academic journey at City, University London in 2022, pursuing a PhD with a focus on the requirements for granting interim measures in international commercial arbitration. This scholarly pursuit was inspired by her hands-on experience during an internship at the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC). In addition to her academic endeavors, Daria has been imparting her knowledge and expertise to the next generation of legal professionals by teaching courses in Arbitration, International Commercial and Public Law, and Domestic Sales Law at both City and the University of Hertfordshire since 2022. Beyond the classroom, Daria is an active and valued member of the international legal community. She has made significant contributions through her engaging presentations at international conferences, insightful appearances on legal podcasts, and the publication of articles. Her work often focuses on introducing and advocating for innovative best practices in arbitration, aimed at further developing and refining this essential field of law. Prior to her academic and teaching roles, Daria amassed practical experience in the field of arbitration. She spent two years as a knowledge lawyer and tribunal secretary at the Arbitration Centre in Russia, where she developed a robust foundation in arbitration processes and practices. Presently, she is enhancing her experience in international dispute resolution as a senior legal assistant at Quinn Emanuel. This practical experience, combined with her academic research and teaching, positions Daria Efimova as a key figure in the evolution of international arbitration, driving forward with insights drawn from both theory and practice.
