“Always be a work in progress.” This philosophy—which I thankfully stumbled upon early in my career—serves as a guiding principle in my approach toward both personal and professional development. In my current position as an Interventionist, I provide intensive, targeted instruction to K-5 students with the goal of helping them develop and strengthen foundational literacy and math skills to achieve grade-level success. This role involves direct collaboration with classroom teachers, administrators, and other academic staff, thus strengthening the following skills:★ Strategic problem-solving ★ Collaborative decision-making★ Clear communication★ Critical thinkingI earned a Bachelor of Arts in Education from the University of Michigan, and I continue to see the value of this experience in my daily ability to effectively multitask, meet critical deadlines, and manage complex projects. Outside of the professional sphere, I am an avid international traveler and blogger--having touched the soil of 27 countries and counting! I also co-host an annual mentorship conference designed to provide career planning, travel coaching, life skills, and mental health support to teen girls and young women.Fun fact: I'm a self-proclaimed #WordNerd and pun enthusiast.
