Engineering Manager, Laundry Simulation Based Design
Current• Lead cross functional simulation team to support Fabric Care product development.• Drive interaction with product development teams to increase use of simulation in product development cycle.• Interface with engineering managers to determine project needs and priorities and assign resources to meet these needs. Receive, prioritize and assign simulation requests in support of projects.• Determine and plan personnel and financial resources necessary to support product development. Manage budget to provide additional software and hardware resources, and training to increase the capabilities and efficiency of the department.• Oversaw hiring of new employees and their on-boarding to the corporation.• Participate in discussions of the strategic direction of Fabric Care simulation team and drive development of new simulation capabilities aligned to support this direction.• Conduct regular meetings with the Fabric Care Simulation department and with individual department members to communicate necessary information, increase teaming within the department, address team members personal and professional concerns to increase employee engagement and provide mentoring for personal and technical development.• Work with simulation managers in other regions to achieve a global simulation team, manage cross-regional support of projects and standardize practices in performing simulations.• Provided people resources for the development of simulation personnel from other regions.• Continued to perform analytical and computational fluid dynamic (CFD) and heat transfer analyses on laundry appliances.
