I believe my banking history is a little unique compared to most. First, I have worked for 8 different banks over the last 28 years, but don't draw a quick conclusion to my switching banks, 7 of those banks have been in the same building at 3rd and Grand in beautiful downtown Ponca City.The list goes like this - Security Bank, Bank IV, Boatmen's, Nation's Bank, Bank of America, Eastman National Bank and, now, Equity Bank. I had a 4 year stint with another bank a block West.Over the years I have spent a time in 3 primary areas: finance / accounting, credit administration and commercial lending. My favorite position was easily being the CFO for Eastman National Bank. Until you have held the position at any bank it is difficult to understand what is required to stay ahead of what is thrown your way on a daily basis.I am now in a commercial lending position and thoroughly enjoy helping businesses and individuals obtain their financial goals. I feel like I have a knack for figuring out how to get a need fulfilled and don't like to stop until all options are exhausted. My favorite feeling as a banker is when advice and actions helping develop a new business at the entry level and watching / helping the business have success and growth.
