The process included forming a Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) with representatives from 20 local agency or municipality planning partners. Oversaw $1.7M private sector consultant contract, including selection of mode (BRT), alignment, termini, station locations, and vehicles for the 14.4-mile corridor from downtown Tacoma to Spanaway, including DCE for FTA Region X. Responsible for bilingual (Spanish) contact with the public under Title VI. Planning partners included City of Tacoma, Pierce County, WSDOT, Sound Transit, and the Puget Sound Regional Council MPO. Submitted a successful FTA Small Starts Capital Investment Grant application and request for a rating in September 2018 for the corridor-based Pacific Avenue/SR 7 BRT project.
