Darin Lee is an Executive Vice President in the Boston, MA office of Compass Lexecon, and specializes in the economics of the airline industry. Dr. Lee has over 25 years of consulting experience in the airline industry and has advised numerous major and regional airlines (both domestic and international) on matters such as mergers, bankruptcy reorganization, alleged anti-competitive behavior, codesharing, seniority integration, antitrust immunity, labor disputes and business interruption. Dr. Lee has testified in U.S. Federal Court, Ontario Superior Court, and made presentations before the U.S. Department of Justice, the Canadian Competition Bureau, and has filed expert testimony before the U.S. Department of Transportation on matters related to the airline industry. Dr. Lee has published numerous articles on various aspects of airline economics in leading peer-reviewed journals such as The Journal of Law & Economics and the Journal of Labor Economics and is also editor of volumes 1 & 2 of the Advances in Airline Economics book series published by Elsevier.. Dr. Lee received his Ph.D in Economics from Brown University in 1998 where he specialized in Game Theory, Microeconomics and Industrial Organization. He also holds an M.A. in Economics from Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario and a B.Sc. in Economics from the University of Victoria, Canada. Dr. Lee has taught Microeconomics, Game Theory, and Mathematical Economics at Brown University and the University of Colorado in Denver.Specialties: Aviation, auctions.
