In addition to supporting and leading our engineering team in developing new and innovative products and solutions, I also work with a team to manage our IT infrastructure in Microsoft Azure.

As a Senior Software engineer at Lenos, have been working with C#/WPF and ASP.NET MVC Core projects, as well as Xamarin. I also develop and maintain our IT infrastructure and system architecture in Microsoft Azure.Accomplishments Include:• Helped to develop the responsive (mobile friendly) implementation of the Lenos Studio product• Helped to implement GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) compliance within our solution• Developed the LenosSync mobile application (iOS/Android), which is used for on-site events and meetings• Developed an online chat/chat room/Q&A/social feed based on Microsoft SignalR technology• Developed load testing processes and procedures for Lenos systems utilizing JMeter and Blazemeter• Developed a web analytics solution for Lenos that does not rely on outside services (data privacy)

H2 PowerTech purchased the Ballard division I was working in, so I continued my support and development of the ElectraGen ME Fuel Cell backup power system, which is a system designed to provide backup power to cell phone towers.

Ballard Power purchased the IdaTech division I was working in, so I was transferred to the new company. At Ballard Fuel Cell Systems, I worked on core system firmware, as well as C#/.NET/WPF applications used by customers to remotely connect to our systems worldwide. I also developed a C based web server application that runs on a small industrial Linux module (straight C, self-contained, no libraries, no Apache, no dependencies, built from the ground up). The application allows remote diagnostics, I/O manipulation, firmware updating, data logging, and the ability to monitor and modify the operation of fuel cell buses all over the world.Accomplishments include:• Developed a dynamic web server that combines the use of HTML files along with encoded function calls to provide dynamic web content (Linux/C/HTML/CSS/JavaScript)• Developed standardized library for developing WPF applications to give them a standard look and feel (C#/WPF)• Developed customer application for upgrading system firmware (C#/WPF)• Developed engineering application for communicating with our fuel cell systems (C#/WPF)• Developed firmware for custom cellular modem, including implementation of PPP Protocol (C)

Developed C# based Windows applications for production and R&D systems. as well as system firmware for products, including the ElectraGen ME (Fuel Cell) system User Interface LCD functionality, SD Card (FAT32), CAN communications, and remote connectivity (SNMP/TFTP). Also worked on Encryption/Authentication, developing both a DES-CBC encryption algorithm, and an SHA-MD5 authentication algorithm, both written in straight C without hardware support.

Lead developer for the 2nd generation of the HP Tool Control Framework, taking it from a C++/MFC design to a C#/.NET design. Also developed many innovative tools, such as a graphic State Diagram to C# code conversion tool, allowing developers to graphically modify their C# state machine code. This was built as a plug-in to Microsoft Visual Studio.

Worked with a team of software developers responsible for creating a reusable software control framework for manufacturing tools. At its peak it was running on over 150 tools worldwide involved in the production of InkJet cartridges. I eventually became the lead developer for this framework, as well as the main trainer. Worked with vendors and other HP facilities on teaching the use of the software control framework (Corvallis, San Diego, Ireland, Singapore, Puerto Rico). Also wrote countless other machine applications using this framework.

Hired out of college to work as an Electrical Engineer at Hewlett-Packard's Corvallis site. Worked on electrical and software projects, as well as manufacturing tool acquisition. Developed a method of electrically testing for ink shortages in InkJet cartridges, as well as the development of tools designed to help in InkJet cartrige manufacturing. I then became the primary software developer for the "Endcap" machine, which encapsulates the exposed leads from the flexible circuit to the InkJet cartrige head within a bead of epoxy. This required both C++ and Vision System skills.

As an intern, I worked on multiple electrical engineering projects in the paper mill located outside of Halsey, OR. I learned both PLC programming, as well as the use of AutoCAD for electrical drawing documentation purposes.
