Delivered multiple voice network traffic projects enabling significant expense savings. Spearheaded operational transformation efforts for department.

Led all aspects of Sprint’s Signaling System 7 network, including capital and expense planning, network design, delivery and translations ensuring high availability and fault tolerance. Delivered significant synergy savings by combination of Sprint and Nextel SS7 networks. Reduced department expenses by 40% while maintaining service quality.

Developed creative access savings and cost avoidance projects with international partners in 23 countries resulting in yearly cost of service reductions of over 10% while supporting double-digit revenue growth. Supported sales efforts by presenting Sprint's international capabilities to over 25 existing and prospective Fortune 1000 C-level executives.

Managed all aspects of Sprint’s international network deployment, including site selection, contract negotiation, transport and services design, regulatory compliance, business case development, vendor evaluation and selection, market and competitive analysis. Delivered Sprint’s European data network (including IP, FR and ATM services) to 11 cities in 9 countries in 9 months and under budget. Within a year, expanded the network to 6 additional cities and 3 additional countries in 4 months within budget.

Drove business case for international network deployment obtaining executive approval. Worked with the Operations, Service Delivery, Sales, Product and multiple network planning groups to ensure total design met all requirements. Performed vendor analysis for network transport, equipment and infrastructure providers in Europe and Asia.

Created “pre-provisioning” process reducing service activation time-frame to days instead of weeks for Sprint's international carrier back-haul customers. At request of Marketing VP, drove multi-functional team to deliver improved 4th quarter margins by expediting customer service deliveries.

Delivered the first 40 window Dense Wave Division Multiplexing (DWDM) system for Sprint. Delivered the first Internet Protocol Direct on Wave (IP DoW) route for Sprint. Created Materials Job Information Memorandum process (MJIM) improving network construction project intervals. Co-Author of “The Optical Internet: A New Network Architecture” included in the National Fiber Optic Engineers Conference (NFOEC) Proceedings - 1999.

Designed, supervised manufacture, tested, and started Supervisory, Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems for the water industry per specifications and contract time-frame. Coordinated entire life-cycle of project including sales, design, procurement, testing, installation, start-up, training and invoicing for an average of ten open projects simultaneously.
