I worked for ITW for 15 years and have had the good fortune to contribute in a number of roles. The different positions I've held have given me an incredibly diverse set of experiences. I started as a Process Engineer for ITW Fastex. Our GM soon acquired a company and I found myself managing that division in Albany, New York. After a two year long transition of manufacturing back to Fastex, I returned as the Operations Manager for a sister division, ITW Jemco. My primary role was managing Jemco's two Maquilladoras in Juarez, MX. When global responsibilities were given to an Executive at ITW, I was asked if I would take on a two year assignment in Milan, Italy. Being recently married and without kids, my wife and I jumped on the opportunity. Then it was back to the USA where I spent time as a Sales Account Manager, Operations Manager and most recently, Business Unit Manager for ITW Trans Tech. When the automotive division relocated to the Czech Republic, I was assigned to insource manufacturing to either Turin, Italy or Eastern Europe. Being the "New Guy" in a foreign country with a huge project in front of you isn't the easiest job in the world. After a short period of time, my approachable nature opened doors to the intellectual talent and resources I would need to complete my project.
