What I have done:-Been married to a marvelous wife and the father of a beautiful daughter;-The oldest of seven kids and two loving parents;-Taken 5-6 items to high school Forensics contests, causing me to run like a madman all weekend;-Watched the daughter take her debate partner and her to state contest and win during high school while I ran like a madman judging said contests;-Lived in Mexico for two years, especially twice in the heart of mafia territory;-Lived in 8 and visited 36 out of 50 states;-Climbed Mount Olympus (in Utah, only making it 2/3rds up, which was great being afraid of heights);-Flew in a B-52 (and barfed my guts up);-Lost a patient (stroke victim) as a 9-11 operator;-Cried with and consoled the daughter of the stroke victim who called back the next morning and shared her gratitude;-Had conversations with two toddlers over the phone as a VA ECC call agent (they called me, best calls I ever had;)-Performed emergency services and saving lives now being an education claims examiner and education advocate for our beloved veterans and family members; -Now serving as a Service Missionary with my wife for 2 years in beautiful Sumter/Shaw AFB, South Carolina, &-Living a full and wonderful life.Among other things:• Taught post-secondary political science, public administration, and criminal justice classes for 42 semester hours; additionally, taught business classes for 4 semester hours and computer systems classes for 9 semester hours. Achieved an 87.5% Pass rate.• Administered the financial aid process, including packaging, certifying, awarding, disbursing, and returning financial aid funds collectively and individually, for four colleges, averaging over the ED-set goal of 90% disbursement rate within the first 3 days. • Oversaw vocational program with 9 instructors and over 150 students and served as safety officer for entire center of over 220 students, over 80 staff, on a 20-acre facility with student dorms, recreational areas, education and vocation facilities, administrative offices, medical facility, personnel training, and supply/storage. • Administered a community development block grant established between McDonald County, the state of Missouri, and Wal-Mart Stores, Inc., worth $750,000. • Applied for and closed a grant for McDonald County for over $56,000 from the Missouri Department of Public Safety as well as FEMA grants totaling near $100,000 for fire departments in Lanagan and Noel, Missouri.
