As an Intellectual Property (IP) Associate at Thompson Knight LLP, I handled a variety of intellectual property matters including, patent infringement, trademark infringement, unfair competition, copyright infringement, and trade secret misappropriation cases. My IP experience encompassed software, semiconductor, lens, internet systems, and other technologies. I further advised clients on patent prosecution and trademark prosecution. Experience also includes representation of software companies in software development disputes as well as enforcement of copyright portfolios for software companies. I assisted clients with copyright registrations. I also represented clients in a wide range of commercial litigation matters including, breach of fiduciary duty, fraud, fraudulent inducement, breach of contract, bankruptcy, tortious interference with contract and prospective contractual relations, unjust enrichment, and business torts. Responsible for integrating airline customers into the design process for the 777 airplane development. Specifically, I represented customer interests in the development of the Environmental Control Systems of the 777, which included usability and maintainability of the ECS design. This involved input into the design process, which included software and system integration, CAD/CAM analysis, and Continuous Quality Improvement processes. Prior to the 777 project, I worked with the Environmental Control System (ECS) teams on the 747 and 767 airline programs. This position involved failure analysis, statistical process control, software analysis, CAD design work, modeling and error analysis, vendor integration, and air conditioning system design.
