I have two decades of experience advising companies in the successful resolution of complex commercial disputes. I have successfully litigated complex disputes, including class actions, involving trade secrets, data security, antitrust, business and fiduciary duties, and novel issues of constitutional law. I also help my clients reduce their litigation risk by advising them in the development of tailored data privacy, security and trade secret strategies.My practice is built on listening to my clients, understanding their organizations and industries, and working collaboratively with them to efficiently achieve their legal and business goals.After litigating on behalf of some of the world’s biggest companies at Gibson Dunn in California and Heller Ehrman in Seattle, I returned to my hometown of Portland to work at Lane Powell in 2010. There, I led the firm’s litigation department as well as the class action and privacy and data security groups. I founded the firm’s electronic discovery practice group and served as the firm’s “Innovation Chair,” where I was responsible for modernizing the firm’s client services.I co-founded Bradley Bernstein Sands LLP in 2020 with the goal of building a law firm designed from the ground up to service our clients at the highest levels. I speak nationally on successful strategies for using predictive analytics and other technology to drastically reduce the cost and increase the value of electronic discovery in complex litigation. I also regularly serve as pro bono counsel to organizations such as the ACLU, Basic Rights Oregon, and Compassion & Choices in emerging areas of federal and state constitutional law.I am admitted to practice in Oregon, California and Washington and regularly practice in all three states, as well as in other jurisdictions across the country.
