I believe that technology should be a force for creating business value. I've dedicated my career to making that a reality.At AlixPartners I work with companies, often in mission-critical, high-impact situations, to transform their technology function into a value creation engine. For some this means getting a handle on costs or ensuring that key technology projects produce a return on investment. For others this means enabling or shaping business strategy by providing critical capabilities through technology. Either way, I help by using my experience as a trusted technology advisor, applying the latest and most cutting edge ideas, and leveraging our high performing teams.I read excessively, mostly books (somewhere between 60 and 100 per year), but also the pages of HBR, Sloan Management Review, and WSJ. As for Shakespeare? I fell in love with his words in high school and haven't stopped reading his plays since. My favorites include Hamlet, Macbeth, and The Merchant of Venice.I was the Economics Club President at BYU, received my MBA with Honors from Rice University, received the "People Centric Mission" award at PwC, and won a Little League championship as coach for my sons' baseball team. But my favorite accomplishment was when my oldest son told me, "Dad, of all the dads I've had, you're one of them."
