Roads? Where we're going, we don't need roads!Curiosity takes you to walk great lengths without even knowing where you are heading to. Science and its approach to understanding the world sure are a good compass.I have always been attracted to Science, in particular Physics and Mathematics. It's the approach Science has toward a problem that resonates with me. What guides any investigation is a desire to truly understand the mechanism behind a phenomena without any prejudice.  Once I was told that studying Science essentially teaches us problem solving skills and critical thinking. I have tried to apply these skills to most situation I have been in, but I did not expect to be able to use these skills productively during business meetings.Working for Knowing Science, I managed several different projects well beyond what I would have expected as a Science Writer. Designing and managing a new curriculum involved bringing together so many aspects, editorial as well as organizational, like the managing of the production of science kits. It required many hours of work and the flexibility of mind to connect all the pieces together, all in order to be able to deliver simple and meaningful lessons to teachers. Certainly it was rewarding hearing students explain the results of their investigations showing how, without having been fed facts, they grasped the concept behind their investigation.I also taught in many different occasions. I have enjoyed tutoring since I was in High school and teaching graduate and undergraduate classes. For me teaching has been a way to master more deeply a concept; it is in the always challenging tentative of clarifying a concept to someone else that one can start seeing things in more depth.As a teaching practice, I always try to adapt my explanations to the student. I believe this approach is a necessary part in a good teaching process because every student understands concepts differently. Teaching is more about communicating knowledge and guiding to a correct understanding of it than just memorization facts and formulas.When I review articles for a journal I follow similar ideas, and my first objective is clarity.Of all the sciences, my main interests are in Quantum Mechanics, High Energy, and Gravity. I have a theoretical approach; for this reasons I have studied extensively Differential Geometry, Group Theory, and Algebraic Methods.Doing research or working in education, I found myself in many new and challenging situations; it wasn't easy, but I always took up a challenge and learned what I needed in order to succeed.
