I joined the R&D department working on development of mission critical telecommunications and security related projects.

▪ 2010 - 2015: The team I worked with was responsible for design, development, maintenance and integration of the user interface application of the Operational Support System for optical networks division at Alcatel-Lucent. The team used scrum framework as agile methodology. Commonly used technologies include: Java, SOAP, corba, XML, JUnit, Log4j. Among the tools we use daily: SVN (Version Control System), Eclipse (IDE), Atlassian JIRA (Issue tracking), Atlassian Bamboo (Continuous integration), Crucible (Code Review), Jubula (Acceptance Test Automation).▪ 2006 – 2010: I worked on an OSS for heterogeneous network services and technologies in Alcatel-Lucent. At first I contributed the analysis, functional specification and development of a software module aimed at providing web-services to access supervision and management functionalities for different kinds of devices and services of optical networks. Later, in the same project context, I joined a small support team that focused on coordinating and assisting off-shore development teams and studying and prototyping innovative functionalities and solutions regarding OSS’ user interface.

▪ Since 2006 I mainly work as a senior consultant for Alcatel-Lucent. (See dedicated box)▪ 2001 - 2006 I mainly worked as a consultant for Siemens (See dedicated box)Beside my main activity as a consultant for external customers, I participate and contribute to several internal projects and activities at NTT Data:▪ Pre Sales Support activities: requirements analysis feasibility studies software architectures analysis / proposals efforts estimations prototyping▪ Technical interviews for personnel selection▪ Definition of schedule and program for internal technical courses▪ Since 2011 I’ve been involved in NTT DATA’s “Competence centers” activities. Internal competence centers are aimed at studying, experimenting, prototyping, focusing and maintaining updated competence on strategic technologies. I particularly contribute and support “OSS” and “Technology” competence centers. Recently, as part of my activity for the Technology Competence Center, I particularly focused on Service Oriented Architectures and Mobile platforms.▪ In 2010 I contributed the realization of a prototype solution for a software tool supporting maintenance operations management for data centers’ air conditioning systems. I contributed requisites analysis, I worked on functional specification and system architecture definition and I worked with an off-shore development team. Involved technologies include: UML (architecture and design specification), Java, GWT (User interface framework), Hibernate (persistence), SVN (Version Control System), Hudson (Continuous integration).

I worked on design and development of an application for management and supervision of radio networks at Siemens. In this context I contributed the database definition and I worked on analysis, design and development of Java applications for data report and for interaction with the NMS. In this project I also worked on design and development of the application’s web interface. Involved technologies include: Java, XML, XSLT, XPATH, MS-SqlServer, ASP, JDBC.

I joined the internal service team in charge of configuring, maintaining and providing assistance for the company's IT system. In this context I had the chance to setup an intranet from scratch and I learnt how to provide assistance to customers. I developed some software applications for internal back office operations and the software management system for the company's equipment for mixing enamels and varnishes.

In the context of support activities for the adaptation of the company's operational procedures and business applications with standards on money laundering prevention, I developed and updated back office applications (MS Access, MS Excel, VBA). Honestly not a particularly enriching experience on the technical side, but I learnt a lot about the financial business sector and pressure management.

The company business was producing and selling a software management system for auto repair shops and insurance expert studies. I was in the R&D department and I contributed to the analysis and development of the product.
