As a Delivery Operations Area Manager, I have the responsibility for the day to day management of a Delivery Station, supporting the Delivery Station Manager, providing leadership to Shift Managers, Operations Supervisors, Operations Assistants and Delivery Service Providers, managing external agency relationships and performance.Overseeing operations focused on the delivery of Amazon orders direct to customers (Last Mile) in west Tuscany area in Italy (La Spezia, Lucca, Pisa, Livorno, Grosseto).Supporting and organizing a team of Shift Managers and the operations leadership team in daily management of the delivery station, including allocating labor, leading meetings, assigning job duties, and communicating with internal and external suppliers, including agency management representatives and their drivers. Constantly working with and monitoring KPIs and metrics such as Delivery On Time, First Time Delivery Success and Enhancing Customer Service, diving deep to find root causes quickly, to drive impactful improvements on daily operations.Project management analytical thinking with attention to detail, implementing continuous improvement projects according to LEAN management methodology.Finding practical and simple solutions to complex problems without sacrificing quality or core functionality. Providing day-to-day support during the rollout/implementation of new systems/processes and gathering feedback. Mapping business requirements, understanding business processes, studying and analyzing workflows and designing solutions. Continuously utilizing software and hardware tools to ensure normal day to day operations excellence. Ensuring my team and my colleagues have proper tools to perform their tasks. Communicating daily metrics and reporting exceptions.Directly responsible for a team of 21 Shift Managers / Dispatchers (internal + external) and 320 drivers (external - peak season).

Main tasks: warehouse department coordination and management within the Pisa glass production plant for the movement of material to different processing lines, to end customers and warehouses in Italy and in the rest of the world. Close relationship with customers aimed at covering and anticipating their needs and requirements, working in synergy with the Planning, Customer Service, Production, Quality, Health and Safety and Logistics departments. Management of a team composed of heavy vehicles and crane operators, quality assurance analysts, Team Leaders and administrative employees in continuous work over three shifts. Heavy vehicles fleet and Pisa Warehouse infrastructure management in coordination with the Maintenance department. Measurement of KPI and OPI within WCM (World Class Manufacturing) and WCSC (World Class Supply Chain) work methodology, metrics presentation and sharing to HQ and other corporate sites. Forecasting and scheduling of staff shifts and holidays in a context of seasonal peaks covered by temporary staff. Conduction of new staff hiring interviews. Close relationship with unions. Safety conditions and operating procedures abidance control. Execution of annual stock audits. Warehouse IT tools knowledge: SAP, Orion, Business Object, Microstrategy and File Maker. Responsible for 70 people.

Main tasks: Control and management of fleet of company drivers. Control of driving times, breaks,performances and main KPIs of vehicles and drivers. Close relationship with the logistics, personneland workshop managers. Conducting job recruitment interviews. holiday and absence managementand sick leave and permits. Research, contracting and management of multimodal transport serviceproviders at Italian and international level. Negotiation of tariffs and contract conditions. Reportsand KPIs preparation for corporate direction. Use and analysis of GPS tracking software and dateaderiver from it. Responsible for 30 people.

Main Tasks: Software design and analysis in the Port Community System and Terminal OperatingSystem development industry. Port Terminal Management systems and Operator’s software analysiswithin the Supply Chain. Constant contact and dialogue with public (Port Authorities, Customs offices,Coast Guard, etc.) and private (terminals, shippers, road haulers, maritime agencies, etc.) clients.Project analysis documents redaction. Customs, port and naval laws and normatives analysis. Teamwork for various projects in Italy, diverse European and extra communitarian countries. Main Tasks: Work developed within the Logistics Services Unit of the Rosignano Solvay plant.Programming and shipping of the production of various packaged products of Soda Ash & derivatives.Close relationship with manufacturing, front office (sales) and the transport carriers for thecoordination of production and delivery of the finished product.
