In his wonderful "La chiave a stella" ("The wrench"), Primo Levi states that "Loving one's work represents the best, most concrete approximation of happiness on earth".I'm an happy guy, because after twenty years playing different IT roles I’m always more in love with my job: the design of cross-channel user experiences pathways, carefully balancing users’ needs, business goals, technological opportunities.I love… to listen to people, see how they behave and work in everyday life;… to empathize with them, understand their needs, frustrations, desires, thoughts;… to co-design with people solutions that could improve their personal and/or professional life;… to play as users advocate and as mediator, talking to business people, developers and all the stakeholders involved. In fact, my work it’s all about conversations: starting conversations, enliven conversations, facilitating conversations, aim conversations;… to design hypothesis and start live experiments to test them.I strongly believe … in agility and design thinking, whose techniques are always in my toolbox;… in continuous improvement, learning from my own and others' mistakes: one of my favorite mottos is "Sometimes you win, sometimes you learn" (Maxwell, 2013);… in teamwork: my success coincides with that of customers, end users, colleagues and partners;… that everybody could be a designer: I'm here just to play as meta-designer to ease and catalyze everyone's design contributions.Last but not least, I am never-ending passionate about uncover better ways of designing solutions, improving the design process effectiveness and pleasure. I’m also an avid reader of design books and blogs as well as an active member of both UX and Agile practitioner’s communities.Eventually I hope to let the world a bit better designed than I found.Shall we start a conversation?
