About Dario Di Santo

I have been dealing with energy efficiency, renewables, and environmental sustainability since 1998. I have been director of FIRE since 2007 and worked as a consultant for various companies on energy issues.I believe in the importance of creating a more sustainable lifestyle, in particular through a more rational and responsible use of energy, both to reduce the damage of global warming, change how we do business, and improve our lives and the environment.It is possible to re-think our product and services by keeping into account the effects of sustainability and energy on the value proposition of our businesses. It is possible to re-design our buildings, processes, and value chains. It is possible to change the way we approach our everyday activities. What we need is to understand the link between energy (and the other resources) and our core activities. And act to exploit the missing synergies between the two.Starting from the knowledge of the energy market and its trends – through surveys, researches, working groups, and simple chats with people – I try to design and deliver information and training, policies, tools, and support actions to put this transformation into practice.I believe in honesty, in qualification and skills, in doing one's job - whatever it is - with passion and love. I believe in a constructive approach and dialogue. I believe in a horizontal and collaborative approach to problems and I have had the opportunity to appreciate the positive results achievable, although not everyone is ready for such a model.
