As a teacher with Seven Lakes High School, my job description hasn't changed much from previous schools. I had the opportunity to start teaching AP Macroeconomics with Lamar CHS and I'm still teaching AP Macro at SLHS. This year, 2016-2017, I started teaching Sociology for the first time. We have… Show more As a teacher with Seven Lakes High School, my job description hasn't changed much from previous schools. I had the opportunity to start teaching AP Macroeconomics with Lamar CHS and I'm still teaching AP Macro at SLHS. This year, 2016-2017, I started teaching Sociology for the first time. That's a change. I am also the lead sponsor of two clubs--the Interact Club and the Seven Lakes Stock Exchange. The Interact Club is the high school branch of the Rotary Club. We have about 200 members and our goal is to serve the community and the world. The officer team and myself organize events such as a canned food drive, volunteer day at the Houston Zoo, and a color run we are planning for March. The SL Stock Exchange's goal is to promote literacy in the investing world and to that end we sponsor a simulation in which members can buy and sell stocks in the simulation. I'm thankful that I enjoy being a teacher and I am looking forward to new challenges. Show less

Maintaining communication with parents and upper administration to keep them informed of students' progress helps students fulfill their potential. I consider myself a manager of people and resources. Educating people requires the skills of motivation, leadership, ingenuity, and most of all passion. I am blessed to have those skills. And now that I have earned an MBA I have the ability to apply those skills, and others, using new ideas and concepts I have been exposed to. Show less
