Main task of New Product Introduction (NPI) polishing engineer is to tailor and improve available polishing technologies as well as establish new techniques atcheaving surface finishes with ultra-precision tolerances enabling mass production at scale.Responsible for:- Prototype design polishing feasibility analysis at design phase- Prototype final surface finish process run-in, verification, development and characterisation- New process development, implementation, monitoring and optimisation - Introducing new and maintaining established SOPs- Daily process monitoring and coordination with Tooling and Quality departments- Training and providing technical support to technicians and engineers from other facilities- In production quality analysis, process documentation and approval before release for outgoing quality control- Lead of 3D printing workshop and prototype production in-house- Rapid prototyping - Autodesk Inventor
