Key Responsibilities• Support beginning and experienced teachers in their behaviour and classroom management of students through ongoing mentoring, meetings and written communication.• Performance management of support staff through planned meeting times where goal setting and receiving feedback is conducted in a cooperative manner.• Development and implementation of individual and group behaviour, education and attendance plans, re-engagement plans and escalation profiles in communication with students, parents, teachers and all relevant parties.• Student referrals in conjunction with the school’s attendance officer to in-school and out of school agencies like our chaplain, psychologist, Headspace, CAMHS, SMYL, Youth and Family Support and the Goldfields Engagement Centre.• Regular meetings with students, parents, teachers, senior school staff, community and outside agencies.• Running weekly year group assemblies where essential information is passed onto students.• Development and implementation of programs and initiatives that support a positive school culture for both students and staff.• Making decisions in regard to class changes, modified timetables, acting on positive and negative behaviour through reward systems and disciplinary actions like phone calls home, organising detentions and informing of suspensions.• Organising and running regular school council meetings and implementing the student’s opinions into school operations.
