My research interests include Li-ion battery and electrochemical capacitors modelling with machine learning and artificial intelligence techniques as well as prognostics and health management for remaining useful life estimation.

The research project aimed at using fusion prognostics approaches - bringing together accelerated lifecycle testing, machine learning modelling, condition monitoring, to estimate the remaining useful life of electrochemical capacitors for drill string applications.

Accelerated Life Testing and Modelling of Li-ion Batteries - Designed test plans for investigation into partial discharge effect on battery degradation- Develop machine learning battery degradation models under various stress factors for test acceleration purposes and prediction of time to failure - Developed models for capacity fade estimation using machine learning algorithms for state estimation and remaining useful prediction

Key tasks and responsibilities:- Carrying out design review/verification/appraisal of Oil & Gas related equipment; conformity assessment of the equipment by performing calculations and computer simulations.- Documentation review, report/certificate writing, quotations and invoicing-Operated Autodesk Inventor, ANSYS, MathCad developed and analyzed complex equipment and prepared reports.

Scholarship award as well as student summer internships within engineering department.Key tasks and responsibilities:-Assisted senior engineering personnel with design and production of subsea tooling, including control system development for ROV’s operating within the oil and gas sector.-Operated Autodesk Inventor, developed and modelled simple systems-Prepared drawings, progress reports

6 months research placement within the Institute for Robotics and Intelligent Systems (IRIS) department- Developed and built a catheter cleaning microrobot system, modelling using dynamics, fluids and electromagnetic analysis- Operated SolidWorks, ANSYS Maxwell and MATLAB- Project culminated with a thesis and presentation of my 6 months-long research work submitted as part of my evaluation for the MEng degree in Mechnical and Electrical Engineering at the University of Aberdeen
