Oracle Platinum Implementation engineer for high availability and performance to Oracle Premier Support customers.Job responsibilities:• Operating system installation trough remote session directly with customer;• Installation and configuration of Oracle Enterprise Manager on Oracle Gateway Linux;• Checking VPN SSL/IPSEC connection from customer data center to Oracle;• Checking mandatory hardware requirements for agent installation; • Troubleshooting with network specific tools (tcpdump, nmap, telnet) when agent installation fails on the engineered system;• Troubleshooting mandatory communication ports and configuring firewall communication between virtual exadata and physical compute nodes;• Adding customer network static routes on engineered systems (supercluster, exadata, zdlra appliance) to force the traffic to use a specific interface;• Working to identify the listeners that are configured for a specific cluster database and setup correctly on the OEM configuration; • Deployment of Oracle Enterprise Manager agents directly on engineered systems (Exadata & Virtual Exadata, Supercluster, Exalogic, ZDLRA, ZFS rack systems);• Proactively contacting customer to update/upgrade OS, Oracle Enterprise Manager and agents to latest version;• Working over time in order to fulfill customer deadline projects;• Work with Sustaining Engineering in prioritizing and resolving issues of the highest technical and political severity.• Identify and document product defects for Development Engineering and Sustaining Engineering.
