Align continuously strives to improve the patient centric approach to footcare and body alignment. Our proprietary Body Align Assessment evaluates our client's full body biomechanics, to understand how the foundation of their neuromusculoskeletal system (our feet) is influencing human movement. Our team's passion pursues helping our clients lead healthier, more active lives by designing custom Align Orthotics, paired with healthy fashionable footwear, to improve body alignment. We create custom fitted footwear that helps client's move better, aligned.In 2018 we launched Canada's first medical footcare spa, using a podiatric approach in developing our medical pedicure (medi-pedi), the Foot Lux Restoration. Simultaneously, we introduced our patent pending Pitch Perfect, a slim line orthotic for high heels - appealing to our client's needs.As Co-Founder, Medical Director, and Director of Finance, I wear multiple hats to support our team and company growth in a variety of capacities. Responsibilities at Burlington Orthotic Centre include:- Assessing and treating patients. - Effectively marketing our services and developing innovative ways to capture new audiences. - Business development- Hiring and training new staff- Building and maintaining professional relationships within the Burlington health care community- Educating doctors on the biomechanics and benefits of custom orthoticsSpeciality involves:Treating injuries and improving performance of athletes through strength and conditioning with a specific focus on runners as well as effectively treating mechanical foot pain, knee pain, hip pain and back pain using custom fabricated orthotics.Additionally, using a two camera video analysis system, biomechanics of runners (of all abilities) are assessed in great detail. Highly specific feedback is provided to improve running efficiencies, reduce the risk of injury and effectively improve performance.
