Darius T. Evans is Co-Founder of Inner City Enterprises, Inc. (I.C.E.), a strategic communications and entertainment holding company and Director of Market Research for GTM… It Means A Lot, a multicultural and sub-cultural grassroots marketing firm based in Atlanta, GA. Darius helped establish I.C.E. and its subsidiaries to develop and launch creative programs that engage urban youth audiences worldwide through its four integrated business segments: GTM…It Means A Lot, Soul Underground, a live entertainment event production company, Wheatbread Clothing line, and Change the Game, a non-profit community outreach initiative. Darius is a Washington, DC native and majored in IT/Business Management at The University of Maryland. Following college, Darius worked for the National Institutes of Health for 8 years as Office Automation Specialist. He then worked four years as an IT Manager on Capital Hill. It was in the District of Columbia where Darius and GTM colleague Karl Carter first formed their alliance, creating Soul Underground to promote independent and emerging soul. Within a year Darius and his partner launched Soul Underground in two additional cities: Atlanta and New York. Darius also used his unique marketing and event staging abilities to transport Soul Underground’s entertainment internationally, including London, Durban, Capetown, Soweto and Johannesburg, to name a few.Throughout his tenure at I.C.E., Darius has helped identify and secure the best in underground and mainstream talent to help stage some of GTM’s most successful entertainment marketing programs to date, including the “Take Back TV” initiative for Current TV.
