The focus of my Masters is looking at the world class Zn-Pb deposits at Howard's Pass, Yukon, and evaluating the geometry and kinematic history of the district and how it controls ore distribution. A large portion of my project will be creating detailed geologic maps across the area, integrating field work and pre-existing data to produce a structural history of the area, as well as looking at the microstructure and sulfide deformation found within the mineralized zones of the deposit.

Geological exploration related to porphyry Cu-Mo mineralization including detailed geologic mapping using the Anaconda method with a focus on structure and vein paragenesis, core logging and geoteching, hyperspectral work, and using Acquire database. Responsibilities include running a 3 hour lab section every week with a full student body to help facilitate their learning of metamorphic petrology. This is done with detailed examination of both hand samples and thin sections with a focus on textural relationships and kinematic indicators. Other responsibilities are marking students' labs every week, planning exam material, and being available to provide tutoring to students.
