Darius Oon is a guitarist, vocalist, songwriter and label manager. He currently manages Singapore-based indie label spikyfruits alongside playing in his bands Coming Up Roses and The New Modern Lights. Since 2017, Darius has been involved in a myriad of different programs and festivals both local and international performing at the likes of Canadian Music Week, Fred Perry Subculture, LUCfest (Taiwan) and Baybeats (Singapore). He was also the recipient of the Singapore Youth Music award for 'Best Rock Song' in 2021 together with The New Modern Lights.Darius' passion lies in bringing people together through arts and music. He is the founder of Radius, a collective organising independent shows for local and regional acts in Singapore. This evolved into his current work with spikyfruits, where he continues to organise shows and mini-festivals through the 'Fruit Basket' series of gigs.In 2022, Darius made the decision to further his studies abroad - moving to London, UK to pursue a BMus in Music Performance at the Institute of Contemporary Music Performance. There, he hopes to continue learning from the global music industry at large while recording and releasing music with his bands.
