Our expertise has been gained by delivering more than 100 community consultation projects, as well as over a decade of experience working in the government sector. We find ways to understand all perspectives on an issue, and are able to provide advice and guidance on the best way to capture these views.While we have particular expertise in delivering community engagement in the local government sector, our services extend to encompass all types of community engagement, including infrastructure, health, transport and development projects. Initially reporting directly to the General Manager as part of a newly developed GM's Office, this role involved project management, performance measurement and community engagement. Key achievements included:• Project managed Council's response to the State Government's Fit for the Future amalgamation proposal, including a comprehensive community engagement campaign, preparing submissions and authoring Council reports• Planned and implemented over 100 community consultations over a number of years for a variety of large projects including infrastructure, transport, sustainability and strategic planning• Undertook a review of Council's Community Engagement Strategy and developed an improved Community Engagement Framework• Planned and facilitated an organisation wide business planning program including a review of existing performance measures and the development of new integrated KPI's.• Prepared various submissions and grant applications to other government bodies and agencies

Key Achievements• Completed a review and update of Council’s four year delivery program and operational plan structure. This project required buy in across the organisation as well as change management techniques and a strategic approach.• Developed a successful and active Online Community Panel with over 3000 registered members. This model has been used as a best practice case study which I presented on at the inaugural Bang the Table conference and the ARK Group Effective Online Community Engagement conference.• Developed Council’s Community Engagement Strategy in conjunction with the community, Councillors and staff.• Planned and conducted a survey of 11,000 local businesses to assist Council in planning economic development strategies. The survey led to a small business data base being established with over 400 subscribers.• Developed business resources for local businesses including regular business networking events, a business enewsletter and a dedicated business page on Council’s website.• Assisted with the development of Council’s Resourcing Strategy including the Long Term Financial Plan, Workforce Plan and Asset Management Policy.• Assisted with successful award submissions on behalf of Council including the prestigious Bluett Award for excellence in local government.• Assisted with presentations on behalf of the General Manager and Council.

Key Achievements- Managed a team of up to 8 staff including full time, part time and casual staff.- Responsible for performance management, career development and organising training of staff. - Administration and budgeting of three community based services. - Organised well attended events such as open days and spring festival activities.- Liaised professionally and effectively with local community groups.- Developed partnerships with government bodies, private companies and not for profit organisations.- Worked collaboratively with parents and customers to ensure they were provided with high quality service.
