Dariusz Król is currently Professor and Vice-Dean for General Affairs of Faculty of Information and Communication Technology and Head of Knowledge Engineering Group at the Wrocław University of Science and Technology. He has held positions as Marie Curie Senior Research Fellow by the Smart Technology Research Centre at the Bournemouth University and DAAD Research Fellow of Friedrich-Alexander-Universitat. His research and teaching interests are oriented toward applications of knowledge propagation and integration, multi-agent systems, computational intelligence to adaptive and self-organising systems. He has published over 140 peer-refereed papers, co-authored three books, and is a co-editor of four books.Prof. Krol regularly reviews papers submitted to a wide range of journals. He has served as an action editor and on the editorial board of Computational Intelligence magazine (Wiley-Blackwell), and as an associate editor of International Journal of Distributed Systems and Technologies (IGI Global). He has been a member of the programme committees for several major conferences in the areas of distributed and grid computing, Web technologies, intelligent and multi-agent systems. He was an invited lecturer for many events throughout the UK, Europe, and Asia in the last ten years.His prestigious contribution in the field was rewarded by IBM, granted by European Commission, Polish National Centre for Science, Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education, and DAAD. He has great hands-on experience with EU-funded projects and programmes. Moreover, in recognition of professional standing, he has been elected to the grade of IEEE Senior Member.
