Working as an Oracle and SQL Server DBA consultant at RMCI. Currently responsible for migrating Oracle databases from Solaris platform to Linux platforms and upgrading from Oracle 12.2 to Oracle 19c. Responsible for backup and recovery, monitoring, performance tuning, ensuring high availability, patching, and upgrading. Production support experience (7x24 support) with databases using RMAN, Data Guard, TDE, and ASM. Use Enterprise Manager to monitor Oracle database environments. Currently working on migrating on-premises Oracle databases to Azure SQL Server databases.

Teaching part time in the Information and Communications Technology graduate department. Classes use both Oracle and SQL Server technologies.

Part of Oracle Management Cloud (OMC) team, working as a DevOps DBA responsible for cloud databases (OCI and OCI-C) in production, pre-production, quality assurance, and development environments. Responsible for backup and recovery, monitoring, performance tuning, ensuring high availability, patching, and upgrading. Production support experience (7x24 support) with databases using RMAN, Data Guard, TDE, RAC, and ASM. Use Enterprise Manager to monitor Oracle database and WebLogic environments. Working with Oracle on Exadata systems and Oracle 12c container/PDB databases. Extensive experience with SQL, PL/SQL, and shell scripting.

Teaching database technology classes within the School of Computer and Information Sciences Graduate program.

Development and production support Oracle DBA. Work extensively with RMAN, PL/SQL, SQL*Plus, Data Guard, Bash/Korn shell scripting. Recent experience with Oracle 11g, Oracle 10g, and Oracle9i. Have worked in both Solaris and Linux environments. Have some experience with MySQL. Lead author for Linux Recipes for Oracle DBAs, RMAN Recipes, and Oracle RMAN Pocket Reference. Co-author of Oracle SQL Recipes. Have taught Oracle classes for the past 12 years at Regis University.
