Company was acquired by Norfolk Iron & Metals and September moved all credit activity to their Corporate headquarters.I handled 940 accounts that included setting up credit lines after reviewing references and financials. Managed collection on all accounts with YTD 95% AR collections, DSO 28 days and 91% CEI. The key in good collections was building customer relations, observing any account changes & working diligently to do your best. I took pride in my job and enjoyed the challenge each day would bring. I had to learn new systems and strived to use them for my benefit. Working with team mates to grow together and learn best practices to succeed at our jobs.

This is a temporary contract position that will be ending soon. Currently I answer phones, assist with Quickbook entries, pull shareholder information off DST software system, file, order supplies, check for discrepencies in excel spreadsheets and prepare mail.

My first 3 years I worked in the finance office as an accounting assistant. Then I was transferred to our Facilities Department to assist with the 7 year building project and to help the Construction Manager and verify invoicing and create files. I scheduled work order repairs work with our facility team and called contractors when necessary. In charge of approving all room useage in-house and with outside schools and other parties. This included invoicing and collections. We also accepted donated vehicles, which I would re-register in our name and be sure all paperwork appropriately filed when sold. Submit all expense reports and check requests for payment on a weekly basis. I made sure all volunteer drivers met the CHP regulations and had appropriate paperwork in file for yearly examination of the CHP officer. Was in charge of filing all permits with the City for outdoor or concert events.
