• Answers and directs incoming phone calls, creates encounters or forwards to appropriate department and schedule patients as needed. Obtain any records that may be required for patient visits. Creates encounters for all incoming paperwork.• Greet and check patients in/out in a professional manner, register patients and accurately assure the documentation of required demographics, insurance and financial information is updated and accurate. Makes follow up appointments as needed.• Collection of co-pays, verifies patient account balances and collects payments if necessary. Completes and reconciles day sheet document for accounting department.• Attends team meetings, completes assignments related to team meetings.• Print insurance reports, verifies eligibility.• Processes scanning and fax inbox for electronic records.• Prepares and mails packets to new patients, scheduled physicals and well care visits. Processes all other incoming/outgoing mail for the facility.• For medical requests, scans, starts action for processing of medical records request and creates invoices for patients and forwards same to billing department.• Office duties as necessary, (i.e. types letters, filing, chart labels and other documents as needed)
