Provided career assistance to individuals who were on unemployment by identifying and gathering information from claimant. Work one on one with claimant to develop an EDP (Employability Development Plan) which evaluated options and practical solutions that would lead to employment.

Provided career assistance to individuals with disabilities who received SSI or SSDI that joined the Ticket to Work Program. Conducted weekly orientations about CareerSource Pinellas services and Ticket to Work program. Grant ended after 8 months.

Provided supported living services to chronically homeless consumers afflicted with chronic mental illness and/or substance abuse issues. Services included: case management, individualized interventions, individual and group counseling, financial assistance, basic living, social and problem solving skills training, budgeting assistance, maintenance of benefits and supports as needed to assist consumers to live in community apartments and homeless housing. Completed all necessary paperwork, monitored consumer's goals, needs, progress and communicated with other service providers regarding consumer needs.

Investigated disability claims by interviewing claimants in regards to allegations, treating sources, 3rd party contacts, abilities to complete activities of daily living and vocational history. Developed cases, sent out correspondence and used the telephone to obtain information from medical sources, lawyers and other contacts. Ordered necessary medical and/or psychological exams and monitored expenditures. Determined the level of severity of impairments by utilizing approved materials, supervisors, peers, physicians, psychologists and support staff in order to make the appropriate decision. Applied knowledge of medicine, federal law and administrative regulations. Managed caseload by electronic or paper files, attended trainings, adhered to policies and protected confidentiality of claimant information.
