In elementary school my favorite subjects were recess and gym, in that order. I remember going out at recess and playing all the games we had learned in class. In most elementary schools today there are no PE teachers, the kids don't know the rules of games and recess has become a time of bullying and lethargy. Playworks works in elementary schools to empower the kids, the families, the staff to create a fun learning environment. Parents become more involved in schools, children learn leadership skills and teachers can teach.

YMCA's create opportunities for communities to come together to strengthen their families, their bodies and their minds.This small facility was on the verge of closing, with the support of amazing staff and community members we created programs to serve all ages. This facility is now a vibrant, busy place to bring your kids to swim, for daycare, or to exercise or learn to dance.
