I am currently employed by Hazel Findlay Country Manor a residential rehab facility for the elderly. I manage a case load of about 30 residents who are both short term, and long term residents. I conduct monthly, quarterly and annual assessments to monitor improvements or declines in cognition, mood, and behavior. Im tasked with monitoring psychotropic drug use and if necessary suggest changes to prescriptions in regards to dosage and frequency of use. If a resident discharges home, I provide discharge counseling and make sure that they receive any and all adaptive equipment they may need post therapy to ensure continuity of care once they're home. I also provide referral support for Physical, Occupational, and Speech Language Therapy and Nursing Services for short term rehab residents. I hold quarterly care conferences to keep family, friends, and other agencies informed of any significant changes during residents stay. In addition to the above responsibilities I advocate for residents who may be susceptible to mistreatment or abuse due to their age, cognitive disabilities, or any other number of risk factors.

I substitute for the largest educational employment service in the Great Lakes region. Depending on the needs of the area, I am sent into various classrooms in Ingham County, Michigan to substitute in the absence of a teacher.

I do case management for military family members who have service members who are either deployed, or are returning from deployment. I also make sure that if service members families need any number of resources ranging from emergency finances, heath care, or educational services, they are given access to any number of programs that will help them.

TPYC is an all male residential juvenile facility for adjudicated youth who have been diagnosed with mental, and emotional disabilities. As a Youth Service Worker I assisted Group Leaders, and Assistant Group Leaders in the application of the facility's program. We also made sure that the residents were adhering to guidelines of their probation, and any other goals set by their case workers, and therapists.
