Fierce curiosity. It’s the lens that gives me access to the fluid world of fashion design and the products that this amazing industry inspires. Over time, I’ve learned to tap the power within to identify things that are and will be cool. There’s no science to it – it’s a gut feeling that most people have access to but don’t know how to amplify.Whether it’s through music, sports, observing pop culture or people-watching on the subway, I see fashion through the eyes of the consumer. It’s a skill I’ve honed in my 20+ years in fashion design and production. It’s also my window into understanding trends – and then weaving those trends into successful strategies that position our clients at the heart of their target markets.In 2011 joined ICER BRANDS to become Chief Creative Officer and helped the company grow to a multi-million-dollar global apparel marketer, manufacturer, and omni-channel distributor. Today, as a Partner and Chief Creative Officer, I still love getting my hands dirty across the entire life cycle of our operations.Brooklyn Cloth, a streetwear clothing brand that I co-founded with my dear friend and ICER President Norman Jemal, was a natural extension of the ICER brand. ICER also holds licenses to work with the NBA & NFL. We continue to grow a robust, stable organization rooted in making on-trend apparel accessible to all.Our employees’ personal growth is very important to me. I am deeply passionate about teaching, giving back, and helping others succeed. Much like an earlier mentor did for me, I freely and intentionally share my design, production, and marketing acumen to raise up those around me. In a way, our model mirrors that of a business incubator – a place where opportunities get hatched and come to life.Community service is also inherent to my DNA. My family and I are active in many philanthropic efforts, especially those that benefit children and under-served communities. I believe in living a life of purpose and sharing the blessings that were so generously given to me.
