Using C#/MVC on the .NET platform, currently converting and upgrading a series of billing, maintenance and audit programs from VB.NET/WPA. Also coding additional programs in PHP, Python and Node.js/Express. Additional web apps include intake forms for legal representation for educational services. Responsibilities include developing coding standards, initiating policies and creating documentation on our team for such things as MVC structure, ADA compatibility and Azure DevOps, specifically for source code, build and release pipelines.

Brought on board to upgrade a PHP web app to a state-of-the-art system using a MVC Architecture, modern design patterns, object methodologies and DRY principles.I was responsible for the ongoing design and development of the nationwide Grant Management and Performance Reporting web application.Duties included managing the Cloud server LAMP stack; managing other developers; designing features; hands-on coding; addressing security concerns; product builds and releases; defect handling and training.Project required my skills and experience with Linux O/S including cron jobs, Apache server configuration, MVC architecture using CakePHP, PHP, HTML5, JavaScript and jQuery, CSS coding and SQL for the MySQL database.As a software system used by government agencies, continual efforts were made to ensure ADA compliance.

Applications developed for internal and external clients using ActionScript 3, Java, JavaScript, C++, Excel VBA, COM and SQL. Highly successful applications also built for the sales force to generate more leads and add-on sales for existing customers.

As a project manager and developer for contracting/consulting engagements, our group created custom applications for fortune 500 companies. We incorporated our own frameworks such as our Document engine with Pen computing support and a custom written Rules engine. Highlights included meeting performance acceptance criteria for a 401K call center application by rewriting frequently used code in Assembly language and demonstrating Pen computing at trade shows.

Financial planning application framework development and custom applications.As a technical manager, supervised up to seven software engineers. Conducted performance and salary reviews. Provided lead design and technical development. Tasks included assignments, specification of deliverables and deadlines and coding. Last responsibility included managing and developing the integrated forms package for an Application Development Life Cycle Tool Set under a Windows 3.0 client and OS/2 Server environment.As a developer, developed program tools for the financial planning product. Member of the team which upgraded the existing product from a stand-alone workstation to a LAN-mainframe-based distributed architecture. Other responsibilities included porting DOS apps to OS/2 character apps, building a forms customizer/compiler, a runtime data entry tool, calculation engine, document customizer and custom reports. Other activities included an Agent Workstation prototype under Windows, which integrated various "C" applications, DOS and Windows Apps and Video.

Software developer on FundTrak/PC-Link internal product.Solely responsible for the design and implementation of the FUNDTRAK/PC-LINK product. Designed to access the mainframe (VM/CMS) to emulate, transfer files and invoke PC programs, the system can run unattended via a scheduling facility. It was written in "C", modified IRMA (DCA) assembler code and required chaining interrupt handlers. A dial-up version was also completed using Microsoft Access (scripting language - note: Access was originally a MS dial-up program.

Developed various programs using COBOL, C, Basic, UCSD/P-System Pascal, dBase 3 and Lotus macros to view and process insurance client data for agents.Projects included; Agency Database system which involved transferring mainframe data to off-site agency computers (COBOL/C); modifying an in-house accounting package (GL,AR,AP,PAYROLL in Basic); Employee Benefits system (UCSD P-System - Pascal); added graphics to a financial modeling system (Lotus); designed and implemented a convention/registration/seating system (dBase III, C); and provided tool libraries such as screen I/O facilities for Realia COBOL programmers (C). Other responsibilities included software evaluation, development guidelines and classroom instruction.
