Daron Phillip Sharp, Executive Director of Risk Management for the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma, is currently leading the facilitation of the Nations protection and ethical responsibilities. Daron and his wife, Sherri, have been married for 32 years. He has four children, Holly, Boston, Makenzie, & Shaylon, and three granddaughters, Hannah, Coyen & Parker. Daron spent much of his earlier career developing skills and acumen in risk management and the engagement of business structure. His knowledge and mastery of risk management solutions has resulted in exemplary results during regulatory audits and inspections.Compassion, drive, and leadership are some of Daron’s greatest attributes. Ensuring that risks are identified, managed, and monitored on an ongoing basis for the Choctaw Nation is his top priority. Since joining the Choctaw Nation in 2016, he has continued to lead the development and implementation of best practices within the Risk Management department. Daron currently serves the Nation’s members and associates with a focus on improving their life standards through the Choctaw Nation 401K and Insurance Benefits Committee. His strong belief in Faith, Family, and Culture has molded his understanding in community service as he served as the Board President of the Western Benton County Boys & Girls Club of America, Board of Safety for US Egg & Poultry, National Turkey Federation & National Chicken Counsel, Vice Chairman of Pittsburgh County Local Emergency Planning Committee, and the Greater Rome Engineering Committee. Daron holds a B.A. degree in Social Sciences from Southwestern Oklahoma State University. He is a graduate of the Officer Candidate School Oklahoma Military Academy and served in the Oklahoma National Guard. Throughout his career Daron has obtained multiple licenses and certifications within Risk Management.
