Clinician providing supportive counseling to students enrolled in OCC/Kean University

Provide clinical therapeutic intervention to individuals 3-21 years old in person/teletherapy using individual and family counseling. Provide psycho-education and coping skills to the individual/family unit on issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and ADHD.Perform suicide assessments and crisis intervention.Duties include case management, treatment plans, and advocacy for individuals and families.

Develop and provide clinical therapeutic intervention services in person/teletherapy to adolescents and families. Facilitate group therapy on topics such as grief, anger management, anxiety, stress management, trauma, and healthy relationships. Certified facilitator of Teenage Outreach Program (TOP) an evidence-based national program to prevent adolescent problem behaviors by helping youth to develop healthy behaviors, life skills, and a sense of purpose.Certified facilitator for Strengthening Families Program an evidenced-based program that builds skills in youth to resist peer pressure that leads to risky behaviors. Promotes stronger relationships between caregivers and their youth to reduce substance use by the adolescent.Participate on numerous educational and student services committees, such as the Intervention and Referral Services Team, Positive Behavior and Support Team, Resiliency Team, Attendance Committee, and Community Service-Learning Day.Provided crisis intervention and suicide assessments. Case management of students entailing treatment planning, advocacy and coordination/referral to other services.Consult and collaborate with school personnel on case information within the guidelines of confidentiality.

Biopsychosocial assessment, supportive counseling, and discharge planning to out-patient dialysis units, rehabilitation facilities, boarding homes and nursing home placements as well as referrals to community agencies to assist with home care.Member of the multidisciplinary medical team to provide comprehensive care to patients and their families.Facilitated support groups for cardiac and pulmonary conditions.

Biopsychosocial assessment, supportive counseling, and discharge planning to out-patient dialysis units.Provide psychoeducation to patients and families on kidney disease, dialysis, and transplant.Member of the renal multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to patients and their families.
